I just wanted to write a short post about my cousin, Steve Checketts. He passed away suddenly 2 and 1/2 years ago. His daughter just posted a cute little post about her adorable daughter Emily. Please visit her blog http://buzzinblacksons.blogspot.com/ to read it, it is very touching, have a kleenex close. Thanks Stef for sharing. I wish I had a picture of him to post on my blog. I have very fond memories of him. I too miss him dearly.

Not good news.....

So....J had an appt with Dr. Sellars (one of the BEST cosmetic surgeons in Ut) today in HIGH hopes that his stumpie would be on the mend, but to our dismay, the stupid blank blank and a peep peep is NOT CLOSING. What to do???? So Dr S proceed to re-stitch it, and he might be sending him to a wound treatment place for a little hybobaric treatment, not to mention he has been denied any sort of disability pay from workers comp. SO today has really been a bumer for me. I cant image what poor J is going through. I have only been through this rough road for a short time, where he has had to deal with this on and off since 1990! So here we go again...keep it above the heart and pray pray pray that it will eventually close. (Love you J, keep smiling)

We have had a bit of set back

Shoot I had this all typed about and I lost it somewhere in blogland, dang it! Anywho J's leg hit a stopping point and had to be operated on after all, so now he must keep it elevated above his heart, no so it can heal. His cute little Mormon Tab choir singer Dr, seem to think this will be the end to "never closing/healing HOLE" We HOPE as this has been not fun for us at the POLL's.

We also have been having a ton of snow lately so Savy decided she wanted to play in it. After she kept throwing snow back on the sidewalk that I had just finish shoveling I decide to put her in the snow bank...

She continues to sleep with me...ugh, but each morning we must start the day with the song Twinkle Twinkle little star. She is starting to put words together it is fun. The other song she really likes is Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, so fun to sing that with her. I am soo glad to be her mom!

J's leg is healing

Just a quick update...J stumpie is healing great, its just very very slow, he is trying as much as possible to keep off of it, because it does heal faster when leggett is not attached. The hole is getting smaller, thats the great news. He will be back to work all week long, this week, still with help of his niece though.

Savy is having great fun with my friend Carrie who is here staying with us. Carrie even got Sav to sleep in her bed the WHOLE night without getting out once! (she has not stayed in her own bed for months) Love you Carrie! Sav calles her Cherry, it is soo cute.

I BIG congrats goes out to Carrie....she will be getting hitched in June!! We are very excided for her and cant wait to be able to go to Canada to participate in all the festivities that come with a wedding....

Caution if ones Queezy***

Yes we are still battling the ever hole on J stummpie...ugh. I have been packing it with gauze twice a day, in hopes that it starts healing from the inside out!! We go back to his DR tomorrow to see how well I have done at packing it. It all started over a 1 yr ago with just a little sore that wouldn't heal so I am hoping it is on track now. He has been off work for 4 weeks now. He has been working 2 days a week with the help of his niece..."Thanks Tiff" she has been his legs and he has been the driver. Also a big shout out to his employer "P" for understanding that having a "below the knee amputee" you have these trials and set backs.

Don't view the pics if you have sensitive eyes and a week stomach.......

And last but not least Sav got hair cut #2 we are trying to get it to fill in. Now its really stort snif snif.. goodbye curls (i hope they will be back.) This week she starting telling me that she missd me "mom". She runs to me and hugs my leg when I get home from work. So so PRICELESS.
